Bazzr Dustwing, henchable or ridiculously broken?
I've been trying to get my Warrior set up for some UW farming and the last thing I need to do is cap VWK, and since he did Factions on the Kurzick side, Durheim Archives is the closest place to try and cap it. As many people may know, Bazzr Dustwing is the keeper of the spell on the Kurzick side, and they may also know that he is near impossible to beat. My question is this:
Is it possible to actually kill Bazzr using a certain group of henchmen/heroes or does he have to be taken out by a group of people? If anyone has achieved the miracle of defeating him with a hench party, I'd be very grateful if you could share what method you used and a list of your henchies. |

He can be quite a pain yes, but a hero/hench team should be able to take him out without too many difficulties. if you didn't already kill him and cap it i can help too ^^

He is henchable. It's not easy, but I have taken him down twice with hero/hench teams. First time to cap VwK, second time while chasing GMC Cantha.
Just make sure to take out everything else in the area first. |

He's quite henchable. I managed him on my first attempt with only one casualty. However, henching him needs some slightly different tactics.
Try a team made entirely of spellcasters. As you are the Warrior, you should be the only warrior in the party. No Rangers or Assassins. When you get to the fight, your job will be to take care of all the other mantises around the boss and let the spellcasters take care of the boss himself. It's slightly easier with heroes, as you can set hero monks to passive mode so they don't insist on wanding things. |

I don't get it why people still have problems with PvE Normal Mode. Especially seeing the fact that you want to solo the UW.

He is very henchable. I capped VWK on my Rit using all hench party (this was before nightfall and heroes came out). He is not henchable in the normal sense of the word i.e. charge in with whole party and try to take him down which will result in a party wipe due to the large number of patrols around him.
The way to do it is to carefully wipe everything around him, starting with external patrols then kill his group and only when he is left, go for it. With heroes in the party, it should be easier. |

Like Vorian, I got this way back when with only hench. Approach by coming down the river, and kill all groups on the way down. Only agro one group at a time. When you get to his group, try to pull them up river a little because there is a patrol or two around (if I remember correctly).
Take out the Menders first, because they will just heal him. Taking Erys Vasburg might help as he is Domination focussed. GL |

I think lots of folks have capped VwK, judging by the number of W/Rts running around UW. I capped it on my warrior with henches only, using the same tactics as everyone else in this thread. I do remember it was challenging, and the henches all wiped once. It helps if you don't attack while he's holding the ashes.
The Domination hench is very helpful. With heroes, I just don't understand what the difficulty could be. |

lol....not to be mean but you must not be very good at controling your hecnhmen and heros then....before NF came out i was abel to beat him with all henchmen as a sin (if that makes any difference)
the best way to do it is to take out surrounding foes but if he is there then try to spread the dmg around so he heals certain foes around him while you take out other foes that he isnt healing. another way is to try and spike him/foes or silence his spells. also as a rit i used my spirits against his Last edited by Loki Seiguro; Jun 04, 2007 at 12:23 PM // 12:23.. |

First of all, thanks to everyone who offered in game help to chop the sucker down to size. Secondly, a big thanks to Toutatis, your method helped me get him down in the first go after reading all these posts, and also thanks to Benster, I have no idea how Erys Vasburg faired in the battle but regardless, we won. Thanks to howlinghobo for your suggestion of bringing a SF ele, I'm sure that helped tip the balance in my favor. And to Njaiguni Blaze, my only answer is practice. With practice, anything is possible.
Again, thanks guys! |

Bazzr is henchable, and is one of my favourite bosses...he, in my opinion is one of the harshest ritualist bosses...I love him for that! He's how a rit boss should be...Large, and in Charge! |

Did it first try as well, Dervish is going fro skill hunter title. I had Margrid as BHA interupter, MoW as MM w/death nova, and Dunk as Boon Healer. I also took Erys Vasburg, Danika, Redemptor Karl, and Cynn.
While you fight his goons have Margrid keep him interrupted with BHA. The Death Nova on the Minions made it so VwK ended up killing him. Mass Death Nova FTW. He didn't seem that hard to me, but apparently people have trouble with him. I must have gotten lucky... |

you really have to have you/your heros setup for him. your standard builds wont do it. mantra of lightning is a lifesaver and some shutdown heros are godly.

I soloed him (without heroes or henchmen) with my Ritualist. Just kill his little cronies first and focus on self healing his ridiculous amount of damage.
